| Overview/Annotation: |
After looking up "Women in History" using AVL, making a
newsletter, students will compile their information in
Microsoft Excel, evaluate their results, and make a timeline
from these results. |

Laptop, projector and screen in computer lab.

| Background/Preparation: |
Students will already have completed AVL research on
famous woman, newletter on the same famous woman, and now is
ready to do this project. All students need to be finished
with prior work before beginning this project. |
| Procedures/Activities: |
1.)Fill out the hand-out that is mentioned in the
PowerPoint that is to be shown. Do not forget to do
this!!!
3.)After watching the PowerPoint, filling out the
handout, it's now time to make the timeline.
4.)This timeline will show the birthdates of our famous
women and the one thing they are most famous for. It will
start close to when the first woman was born and end when the
last woman was born (a sequence of earliest to latest). This
timeline will only include years and will be divided into
segments of 25 years.
5.)A mark for the year in which the famous woman was born
will be made. At that mark, the reason why they are famous
will also be written in brackets. EX. Helen Keller [deaf but
learned to speak]
