|
e-Books Tip #1 – Go to www.jclc.org. Go to View Your Record tab. Then e-cards. You can sign up for an e-card and get a Birmingham/Jefferson County library card for online usage. e-Books Tip #2 – Go to www.jclc.org. Go to the Resources tab. Go to e-books. Find the book you want to read online. You must have a Birmingham/Jefferson County card to do this. e-Books Tip #3 – Go to www.jclc.org. Go to the Resources’ tab. Go to downloadable audiobooks. Choose a book. The browse books feature on the left column is a good way to do this. Click on the title to get the information on the book. See if the book is available for check-out (if copies are in the library). If not, you might want to put the book on reserve. After finding your book, add the book to your cart. The book will advise you on if you can be burned to a CD or not. e-Books Tip #4 – After putting your book in the cart, you must – the first time – download software on your computer. Your books will only remain in the cart for 30 minutes. Run software after clicking yes to software agreement statement. Then go back to downloading the books you chose. Each part of the book will download separately and will take only about 3 minutes altogether.
